Arrive early-prepare to play
You must avoid rushing to the course and running to the first tee without even a practice swing. You’ll greatly improve your enjoyment and your score if you make it a rule to get to the course at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start. This will allow you to do five minutes of stretching exercises; then hit some easy practice shots for 15 minutes (20-25 balls); and finally, to spend 10 minutes or so putting and chipping. You’ll head to the first tee feeling more confident, relaxed and ready to play your best.
