Adressing the ball

Address the ball in good athletic position

Generating high clubhead speed and hitting the ball squarely is harder then we expect. Good balance is of utmost importance to produce solid golf shots. Set up in a posture like that of athletes in other sports who are in perfect balance. Your knees should have a slight flex with your weight more on the balls of the feet. Your stance should be approximately shoulder width apart; perhaps a little wider with the driver and a little narrower with the wedges. Your back (spine) should be straight, yet tilted slightly forward so that your arms hang freely under your neck with no tension. We also want to feel like we set up with a little more weight on our right side at address.
