Swing through ball

Swing through the ball

Many golfers become “ball bound,” that is, they think in terms of swinging the club at the ball, not through it. This creates a quick, jerky action in which the clubhead is actually slowing down as it makes contact. On all full shots, don’t fixate on hitting the ball. Instead, think of making as full, free, and flowing a swing as you can. Imagine that the ball is simply an object in the way of your swing path, and you will swing right through it. With this approach you will generate maximum clubhead speed through impact, as well as hit your shots more squarely.
